Search Reddit comments by keyword, the place where people actually recommend and complain about tools. Returns comment text, author, score, subreddit, the parent post title and a link. Basically, you’d monitor social media for any mentions of keywords relevant to your business, then engage with these people. I’d recommend checking out the following tools for this: F5bot (it’s free, scans entirety of Reddit) MentionFunnel (full disclosure, I built it. It has a free tier and you can filter by specific subreddits and in the future also other platforms such as HN and Twitter) GummySearch (very good for audience research, also has keyword tracking and a free tier iirc)",

"body": "The sub is just bigger and Silver has turned the NBA into the social media consumed sport. Unless you want to talk hoops on twitter, reddit has become the main NBA hub over the last ten years. People who consume the NBA primarily through social media (including this subreddit) are a lot different than people who watch games and then are looking for a place of discussion. And there is a difference between the two. I became active later than you guys. Think I more or less stopped using RealGM and ISH in 2016 because the player only fans + alt accounts was making things unbearable. And I remember the threads on r/nba then on how it was consistently near the top of reddit in growth. Like in 2013 r/nba had 98,103 members. Now we have 12,159,356 members. In 2016, around the time I joined, r/nba was 99th in total members and under 2m. Can't figure out the exact as that data is, in fact, not beautiful. According to this r/nba is 10th in member growth just in this past year. 4.2m+ more members. eta ^ got automodded because my reddit links were np and idk wtf that means so I'm just not going to link them. Believe me or google it yourself lol. Basically: way bigger community (and it's a HUGE community now) + about a decade worth of results on how the NBA has decided they want to be watched and here we are. Not that anyone asked for my opinion, but if you can't tell I think what the NBA has decided to do has created worse fans, while also way more fans than they would have alternatively so I don't blame them. It worked, I guess.",
