Free Twitter profile viewer

Type a handle and this Twitter profile viewer shows the public X profile behind it: bio, follower and following counts, join date, verification and whether the account takes DMs.

Updated

How it works

  1. 1Enter an X handle, with or without the @, or paste a profile URL.
  2. 2We fetch the public profile for that account from X.
  3. 3You get one profile card with the counts, badges and links.

What you get

  • Name, handle and account id
  • Bio, location and website
  • Followers, following and tweet count
  • Verified and blue check (X Premium) badges
  • Accepts DMs: yes, no or unknown
  • Whether the account is protected, when X provides it
  • Avatar and join date

Use cases

  • Check an account's size and age before you reply to it, partner with it or quote it.
  • See whether a prospect accepts DMs before you write a cold message.
  • Vet an influencer's follower count and bio before you pay for a post.
  • Confirm that a handle you found in a screenshot belongs to a real, active account.

What the Twitter profile viewer shows

This Twitter profile viewer reads the public profile of any X account and puts the useful parts on one card: the display name, handle, bio, location, website, avatar and the date the account joined. It also shows three counts: followers, accounts it follows, and tweets posted.

You don't need an X account, and the lookup isn't tied to yours in any way. X doesn't tell an account who looked at its profile, and this tool never logs in as you.

The card is a snapshot. Follower counts on big accounts change all day, so the number you see now may be off by a few from what x.com shows a minute later. If you look up the same handle again within an hour, you may get a recent cached result.

Reading the DM and badge fields

  • Accepts DMs: yes means X lets anyone message this account. No means the owner limited DMs, usually to people they follow. Unknown means X did not say.
  • Verified: the older verification flag, now mostly used for organizations and government accounts.
  • Blue check: the account pays for X Premium. It says nothing about who runs the account.
  • Protected: a protected account hides its tweets from anyone it has not approved. This field appears when X provides it.

To see what the account posts, run the handle through the X Timeline Scraper. To see who talks about it, use the X Mentions Monitor.

Look up accounts in bulk

The free page checks one handle per run. The same lookup is available through the API at /docs/tools/x-user, so you can check a list of handles from a script or an AI agent and keep only the accounts that accept DMs. If you know a topic but not a handle, start with X User Search.

Questions

Does the account owner know I viewed their profile?
No. X does not notify accounts about profile views, and this tool reads the public profile without logging in as you.
Can I see a protected account's tweets?
No. The profile card still loads for a protected account, but its tweets stay hidden from anyone the owner has not approved.
What does Accepts DMs mean?
It shows whether X lets anyone send this account a direct message. If it says no, the owner has limited DMs, usually to people they follow.
Why is a field empty?
Some fields, like location and website, are optional on X. If the owner left them blank or X didn't return them, the card shows n/a.
Is this tool free?
Yes. Each visitor gets 10 free runs a day, and each run shows the first rows of the result. With a free account you see the full page, and the API has no daily cap beyond your credits and rate limit.
Is this affiliated with X?
No. ChatterAPI is independent and not affiliated with Reddit, Inc. or X Corp.
