How it works
- 1Paste a post URL, a redd.it short link, or a bare post id.
- 2We fetch that post from Reddit and clean up the link.
- 3You get one post card with the text, stats and media as data.
What you get
- Title and full body text
- Subreddit and author
- Score, comment count and upvote ratio
- Created date
- NSFW and locked flags
- Permalink and external link
- Media type and URLs, when the post has media
Use cases
- Save a post's text and numbers before it gets edited or removed.
- Pull a competitor's launch post into a spreadsheet to compare its score and comments.
- Feed one post into an AI agent as clean JSON instead of raw HTML.
- Check the upvote ratio of a post you plan to reply to.
What this Reddit scraper returns
This Reddit scraper takes one post and returns it as structured fields. They're the same fields the API returns. Paste a full reddit.com link, an old.reddit.com link, a redd.it short link or just the post id. We strip tracking parameters and comment anchors before sending the request.
You get the title, the full body text, the subreddit, the author, the score, the comment count, the upvote ratio and the date it was posted. Flags tell you whether the post is marked NSFW or locked. For an image, video or gallery post, the result includes the media type and the direct URLs. Link posts include the external URL they point to.
The free page shows the post card with the first part of the body. Sign in to see and export the full record.
Scrape whole threads, searches and profiles
Often you need more than one post. Pick the tool that fits:
- The comments too: the Reddit Comment Exporter returns the post plus its comments, with parent ids so you can rebuild the tree.
- Every post about a topic: Reddit Post Search finds posts by keyword, across Reddit or inside one subreddit.
- What one account has posted: Reddit Post History lists an account's submissions.
- A subreddit's feed: Subreddit Posts shows hot, new or top posts.
Scrape Reddit from your code
If you run a scraper yourself, you have to deal with logins, rate limits and HTML that keeps changing. The API handles that for you and returns JSON in the same shape every time. Call GET /v1/reddit/posts/{id} with a post id or URL, or call the reddit.scrape tool from an AI agent over MCP. The API reference has the full parameter list and a sample response.
The API reads public posts only. It can't read posts in private communities.
