Reddit API status
Reddit is closing its public Data API in stages between October 2026 and March 2027, and it retires RSS feeds on November 13, 2026. This page tracks each date Reddit has announced, what changes on that date and who it affects. Every line links to Reddit's own post.

What to do
- If you run a bot or app on the Data API, register it at developers.reddit.com/app-registration and plan a move to the Developer Platform.
- If you depend on RSS for monitoring, replace it before November 13 with a search or subreddit-posts call that runs on a schedule.
- If you only need to read public posts and comments, a hosted API can return the same data without you running your own Reddit app.
How we keep this page
We read Reddit's announcements in r/redditdev and r/modnews and check every date against them. When a date moves, we update it here and note the day we checked. If these changes affect ChatterAPI's own Reddit endpoints, we'll say so on this page and on our status page.
The full story is in our Reddit API shutdown timeline and the post on RSS feeds ending.
