Free Twitter scraper for any public account

This Twitter scraper pulls the recent tweets of any public X account, newest first, with likes, retweets, replies, views and media for each one.

Updated

How it works

  1. 1Enter an X handle, with or without the @, or paste a profile URL.
  2. 2We fetch that account's recent tweets from X, newest first.
  3. 3You get each tweet with its text, date, link and engagement counts.

What you get

  • Tweet text, link, date and language
  • Likes, retweets, replies, quotes and bookmarks
  • Views, when X provides them
  • Whether it is a reply or a retweet, and the quoted tweet id
  • Photos and videos attached to the tweet
  • Author name, handle and follower count

Use cases

  • See what a competitor has posted this week without opening the X app.
  • Find an account's most-liked recent tweets to learn what its audience responds to.
  • Collect an executive's recent public posts before a meeting or interview.
  • Feed an account's tweets into a spreadsheet or an AI model for analysis.

What this Twitter scraper returns

Enter a handle and this Twitter scraper returns that account's recent tweets, newest first. You don't need an X account or any code. Each tweet comes back with its text, link, date and language, plus counts for likes, retweets, replies, quotes and bookmarks. Views show up when X provides them. Photos and videos attached to a tweet are listed with their links.

The results include the account's retweets and replies along with its own posts, and each row says which kind it is. If you only want original posts, the API has an option to drop retweets.

Only public accounts work. A protected account hides its tweets, so the tool returns not found. One free run shows the first rows of one page.

Reading the engagement numbers

  • Likes and retweets show reach. Retweets put the post in front of new people.
  • Replies show conversation. When a tweet has more replies than likes, people often disagreed with it.
  • Quotes are retweets with a comment added, and they often tell you the most.
  • Bookmarks suggest people found the post useful enough to keep.
  • Views come from X and may be missing on older tweets.

Counts are a snapshot from the moment you run the tool. A new tweet can gain a lot in its first hours.

To dig into one tweet and its discussion, open it in the X Tweet Lookup or the Tweet Replies Exporter. To find tweets on a topic across all accounts, use X Tweet Search.

Scrape more tweets from the API

The same call is available through the API at /docs/tools/x-tweets. Each call returns one page of tweets and a cursor for the next, so a script or an AI agent can page back through an account's timeline as far as X returns it. How far back that goes depends on X.

Questions

Can I scrape tweets from a private account?
No. Protected accounts hide their tweets from anyone they haven't approved, so the tool returns not found.
Can I get every tweet an account has ever posted?
Through the API you can page back through the timeline as far as X returns it. X doesn't always return an account's full history.
Does it include retweets and replies?
Yes, and each row is marked. Through the API you can turn retweets off to see only what the account wrote.
Why do some tweets have no view count?
X doesn't report views for every tweet, especially older ones. When X leaves them out, the result shows n/a.
Is this tool free?
Yes. Each visitor gets 10 free runs a day, and each run shows the first rows of the result. With a free account you see the full page, and the API has no daily cap beyond your credits and rate limit.
Is this affiliated with X?
No. ChatterAPI is independent and not affiliated with Reddit, Inc. or X Corp.
