How it works
- 1Paste a tweet link from x.com or twitter.com, or just the tweet id.
- 2We fetch that tweet and its public counts from X.
- 3You get one tweet card with the stats, text, media and author.
What you get
- Full tweet text, link, date and language
- Views, when X provides them
- Likes, retweets, replies, quotes and bookmarks
- Reply context: the tweet it replies to and its conversation id
- Quoted tweet id, photos and videos
- Author name, handle, bio, follower count and DM status
Use cases
- Check how many views a competitor's launch tweet got.
- Compare a tweet's views to its likes to see how many people engaged.
- Record a tweet's stats for a report or a sponsorship invoice.
- Read the full text of a long tweet without opening the X app.
How to check tweet views
Paste any public tweet link above and the tool returns its tweet views and the other public counts: likes, retweets, replies, quotes and bookmarks. You don't need to own the tweet or log in to X. Links from x.com and twitter.com both work, and so does a bare tweet id.
Views appear when X provides them. X started showing view counts in late 2022, so older tweets usually don't have any, and the card shows n/a instead of zero.
The card also shows the full text, attached photos and videos, the date, and the author's profile with follower count and DM status. If the tweet is a reply, you can see which tweet it answers.
What the numbers mean
- Views count how many times X showed the tweet. One person can count more than once.
- Likes and bookmarks show interest. Bookmarks are private, so people use them to save things they want to keep.
- Retweets and quotes show how far it spread. Quotes add a comment, and that's often where the debate happens.
- Replies show conversation.
A simple check is engagement rate: add up likes, retweets, replies and quotes, then divide by views. Treat it as a rough guide, because X counts views generously.
The private analytics X shows the author, such as profile clicks and link clicks, aren't public and can't be looked up.
To read the replies themselves, use the Tweet Replies Exporter. To see who shared it, use the Retweeter Exporter. For an account's recent tweets and their stats, use the X Timeline Scraper.
Look up tweets from your code
The same lookup is available through the API at /docs/tools/x-tweet-detail, so you can record the stats of many tweets on a schedule. Each result includes a conversation id you can pass to the replies call.
