Reddit and X data in Make

Make doesn't have a ChatterAPI app yet. The HTTP app's Make a request module calls any endpoint with your key, and the rest of the scenario uses the JSON response.

What you get

  • Reddit and X data in any scenario: mentions, leads, searches and timelines.
  • Parsed JSON that Make can iterate over one item at a time.
  • Each call has a fixed credit cost, so you can work out what a scenario costs.

Set it up

  1. Create an API key

    Sign in at chatterapi.com/signup with Google and create a key on the Keys page. You get 100 free credits. A ca_test_ key returns recorded samples for 0 credits, which helps while you set things up.

  2. Add a Make a request module

    From the HTTP app, add Make a request. Set the method to GET, set the URL to the endpoint, and turn on response parsing.

  3. Set the key

    Make's docs suggest storing the key as a credential in the Credentials field instead of typing it into the headers. Whichever you choose, the request has to send this header.

  4. Iterate over the results

    Add an Iterator on data to process one tweet or post at a time.

Limits worth knowing

  • The HTTP app has three modules (Make a request, Download a file and Resolve a target URL) and supports API key, Basic, OAuth 2.0 or no authentication. source
  • You can set the request timeout anywhere from 1 to 300 seconds. Only HTTPS is allowed. source
  • Make's Free plan includes 1,000 credits a month, as listed on Oct 17, 2026. Most module actions use 1 credit. source
  • Make has no native ChatterAPI app yet, and ChatterAPI isn't listed in Make's app directory. Use the HTTP app, which is the supported route.
