Cross-platform API
Updated
One call that queries Reddit and X together and returns one merged list, for monitoring, brand mentions and lead finding.
Overview
Base URL: https://api.chatterapi.com/v1. Cross-platform endpoints sit directly under /v1 (/v1/search, /v1/mentions, /v1/leads) and take the same Bearer key as everything else.
- One merged list. Every item says which platform it came from, with author, community, score, link and date in the same shape.
- You pay per side. The cost is the sum of the platforms that answered. If one platform has no more pages, you aren't charged for it.
- Partial answers still return. If one platform fails, you get the other one's results plus a
warningsentry, and you're only charged for what came back.
curl "https://api.chatterapi.com/v1/search?q=notion%20alternative&sort=new" \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $CHATTERAPI_KEY"Endpoints by chapter
Each endpoint has its own page with parameters, request samples, a recorded response and the errors it can return.

Cross-platform or per platform?
Use the cross-platform endpoints when you want one feed and don't care where an item came from. Use the Reddit API or the X API when you need fields only one platform has, such as subreddit rules, full comment trees, follower lists or DM availability.
