Updated

How it works

  1. 1Type your category in two or three words, and up to two competitors.
  2. 2We search recent Reddit posts, Reddit comments and X for buying signals.
  3. 3You get leads ranked by intent, each with the phrases that matched.

What you get

  • Platform: Reddit or X
  • Text of the post, comment or tweet
  • Author, linked to their profile
  • Subreddit for Reddit items
  • Intent: asking for a recommendation, comparing tools, or complaining about a tool
  • Intent score from 0 to 100
  • The phrases that matched
  • Time posted and a link to reply

Use cases

  • Find people asking for a product like yours this month and answer them with real help.
  • Catch users complaining about a competitor while they are deciding whether to switch.
  • See the words buyers use for your category before you write landing copy.
  • Give your sales team a short daily list of real conversations to join.

How social media lead generation works here

Most social media lead generation tools give you a firehose of keyword matches. This one looks for buying signals. Type your category and it searches recent Reddit posts, Reddit comments and X for three kinds of message:

  • Asking for a recommendation: "what's a good CRM for a five-person team?"
  • Comparing tools: "HubSpot vs Pipedrive for a small agency?"
  • Complaining about a tool: "HubSpot is getting too expensive for us, looking for something else."

If you add up to two competitors, the search also catches people talking about leaving them. Results cover the past month and come back ranked, with the matching phrases highlighted so you can see why each one was picked.

Reading the intent score

Each lead has an intent score from 0 to 100. A high score means the text clearly matched your category and strong buying phrases. A middling score is often still worth a look, since someone describing a problem without naming a category can be a good lead that the scoring can't fully read.

The score only ranks results and doesn't judge them. Always read the post before replying. Some high scorers have already chosen a tool, and some low scorers are exactly your customer.

Reply without getting banned

Reddit communities remove promotional replies fast, and X users ignore them. Answer the question first. Mention your product only when it fits, say that you built it, and check the subreddit's rules with Subreddit Stats before you post. One helpful reply in the right thread does more than ten pasted pitches.

Run the Lead Finder from your code

The API at /docs/tools/everywhere-leads returns the full page of leads and accepts up to five competitors, exclusion words, a time window and a minimum score. Run it from a script each morning, or have an AI agent draft replies for you to review. If you only want one platform, use the Reddit Lead Finder or the X Lead Finder.

Questions

What should I type as the category?
The problem your product solves, in two or three words, said the way a buyer would say it: "crm", "cold email" or "invoice software". Brand names and long phrases find fewer leads.
Why add competitors?
People often name the tool they want to leave. Adding competitors catches those complaints and comparisons even when the poster never uses your category word.
Why does one search count as three free runs?
It searches Reddit posts, Reddit comments and X. Each source counts as one run.
Does the tool reply or message anyone?
No. It only finds and ranks public posts. You decide who to reply to, and you write the reply.
Is this tool free?
Yes. Each visitor gets 10 free runs a day, and each run shows the first rows of the result. With a free account you see the full page, and the API has no daily cap beyond your credits and rate limit.
Is this affiliated with Reddit or X?
No. ChatterAPI is independent and not affiliated with Reddit, Inc. or X Corp.
