- See which tools, investors and newsletters a competitor's founder pays attention to.

- Back up the list of accounts you follow before you clean it up.
- Spot partners or agencies that a target company follows.
What a Twitter following list tells you
A Twitter following list is the set of accounts someone chose to follow. Anyone can follow an account, but the accounts it follows were picked on purpose, so the list shows which people, products and news sources it cares about.
This tool returns that list as rows. Each row is a full profile with name, handle, bio, location, website, follower and following counts, badges, join date, and whether the account accepts DMs.
One free run shows the first rows of one page so you can check the data. To export the whole list to CSV you need a free account. Sign in to export, or page through it with the API. Protected accounts hide who they follow, so the tool returns not found for them.
How to use it for research
- Competitor research. The accounts a company follows often include its vendors, its agency and the people it hopes to hire.
- Finding a circle. Start with one well-connected person in a niche and read who they follow. Many of those accounts will be peers worth knowing.
- Partner scouting. Newsletters and podcasts that a target audience follows are places to advertise or pitch.
- Your own account. Export what you follow before an unfollow sweep so you can undo a mistake.
To list who follows an account instead, use the X Follower Exporter. To read one profile in detail, use the X User Lookup.
Export the full list from the API
The same call runs through the API at /docs/tools/x-following. Each call returns one page plus a cursor for the next, which lets a script or an AI agent read the full following list and filter it by bio, follower count or DM status.
