Lead generation on Reddit and X

The lead endpoints search Reddit and X for posts where someone asks for a recommendation, complains about a competitor or describes the problem you solve. Each post gets an intent score, and you get back a ranked list of conversations worth answering.

The job

Buyers ask in public: "what CRM should a small business use", "looking for a HubSpot alternative". Those threads are leads. On Reddit they often keep ranking in Google for months, so a useful reply keeps working.

Finding them by hand means reading hundreds of posts. The lead endpoints take your category, competitors and words to skip, and return posts with an intent label, an intent score and the terms that matched.

How it works

  1. Describe what you sell

Put your category or the problem you solve in q, such as crm or cold email, and up to five competitors in competitors.

  2. Set a bar

minScore filters out weak matches. Start at the default 0.3 and raise it if the list is noisy.

  3. Read and reply by hand

Open each thread, check the community's rules and answer as a person. Don't automate replies on Reddit.

What it won't do

  • ChatterAPI reads live Reddit and X. It does not return posts or comments that were deleted or removed.
  • Intent scores help you rank posts. They don't promise that someone will buy, so read the post before you act on it.
  • Reddit is read-only here. Replies and DMs on Reddit are up to you, and subreddit rules apply.

Questions

How much does a lead search cost?
4 credits per page on Reddit, 3 on X, and up to 6 for both together.
Can it message the leads for me?
On X, actions run only from accounts you connect, within safe daily limits. On Reddit, no. You reply yourself.
How fresh are the leads?
Set time to day, week, month or year. Each call reads the platforms at the moment you make it.
